Field rules define the behavior and constraints on fields.
This page allows you to configure rules for fields in the issue type.
You must have Manage Project (Project Templates Management) permission.
1. Click Projects (Project Templates) Management in System Admin page, and the Project (Project Template) List page appears.
2. Select the project (project template) that you wish to manage, click
in Manage column of Project (Project
Template) List page,
and the Project (Project Template)
Management page appears.
3. Click Issue Types Management in Project (Project Template) Management page, and the Issue Type List page appears.
4. Select the issue type that you want to manage, click
in Manage column of Issue Type List page,
and the Issue Type Management page appears.
5. Click Fields Management in Issue Type Management page, and the Fields Management page appears.
6. Select the filed that you want to configure rules for in the
Fields Management page, click
in Field Rules Configure column on the right, and the All
Rules of Field page appears, as seen in the following figure:

7. Set rules for the selected field.
Check the active box to set the corresponding rule for the field.
List available rules for the field.
Description of the rules.
The detail setting of the rules.
Set values or options for the rules. See Set Rule Values.
