Command Remarks

Connects to Dynamsoft SAW Standalone Server.

In Dynamsoft SAW Standalone, source control files and histories are stored in repositories in Microsoft SQL Server. Dynamsoft SAW Standalone Server serves SQL databases and you can create any number of repositories in the databases. Working with Dynamsoft SAW Standalone Client, the first thing is to connect to Dynamsoft SAW Standalone Server and choose a repository to log in.

Note: Dynamsoft SAW Standalone Client can only connect to one server during a session.

Dialog Box Items

Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere Standalone Server

• Server
  
  Select or type Dynamsoft SAW Standalone Server IP or name. The Server name or IP entered in this box must correspond to the Server IP specified in the Server IP and Ports box in Service Configurator->Server Info->General Settings.
   
• Port
  
  Select or type Dynamsoft SAW Standalone Server port. The Server port number entered in this box must correspond to the port specified in the Server IP and Ports box in Service Configurator->Server Info->General Settings.
  
  FAQ:
  1. Error connecting to: <IP>:<Port>
  2. Peer closed down the SOCKET connection

Login Information

        Admin user is created during the installation of SourceAnywhere Standalone Server. If you forget the password of admin user, please click here for help.

        For other users, they are created in SourceAnywhere Standalone Server Manager | Users by admin user.
 

Proxy Information

        You can also configure the proxy information in Tools>Options>Proxy Tab.

• Proxy Type
  Choose the proxy type. Dynamsoft SAW Standalone supports all proxy types including http, socks4 and socks5.
   
• Server name
  Type the proxy server IP or name.
   
• Port
  Type the proxy server port.
   
• User name
  Type the username (needed when the proxy requires authentication).
   
• Password
  Type the password (needed when the proxy requires authentication).

Note:

• Dynamsoft SAW Standalone retains the Server address and port of the last 5 successful connections.
• If you connect to Dynamsoft SAW Standalone server through proxy server, you can either input the proxy information in Connect to Server dialog box or configure it in Tools>Options>Proxy Tab.
