Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS supports file compression to speed the transfer of files. Using Dynam-Zlib, files are compressed before being transmitted and uncompressed when received. File compression is an optional feature. Because it speeds the transfer of files, the default setting for the file compression feature is ON.
Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS supports delta transfer to speed the transfer of files. In non-LAN connection, it can speed up the file transfer greatly.
Note: This feature is for Professional Edition only.
This option enables Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS to always act recursively by default on all projects and subprojects during operations that support recursion. Since performing recursive operations can sometimes be a lengthy process, the default setting for this option is OFF.
Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS provides a way for you to toggle between Source Code Control providers when using IDE integration. By enabling or disabling this option, you can change your system registry to choose either Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS or SourceSafe as your SCC provider. While Dynamsoft recommends against changing back and forth between Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS and SourceSafe on the same machine, this option is helpful for individuals who occasionally need to switch between SCC providers and are familiar with the ramifications.
If this option is checked, Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS will check the status of the socket before network operations. If the socket is invalid, it will reconnect to server automatically. This functionality ensures the validity of the socket before network operations and thus effectively reduces the "socket error".
Note:
A file in the File List can be either viewed or edited by double-clicking on it. The Double-click on a File option may be set to Ask, View or Edit. If Ask is selected, a dialog is displayed offering the choice to Edit or View the file when the file is double-clicked. If either View or Edit is selected, the file will automatically be opened in that mode when double-clicked.
The check in unchanged files option may be set to Ask, Check in or Undo check out. If Ask is selected, a dialog box is displayed offering the choice to Check in or Undo check out when you check in an unchanged file. If Check in or Undo check out is selected, Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS will perform the selected operation automatically.
Specify connection type and the proper selection will speed up the operations. It includes Local Connection, Broad Band Connection and Narrow Band Connection.
Specify here where you want Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS to store temporary files, or click Browse to search for and select a temporary file location. The default is the Temp subfolder under the folder in the Application Data>Dynamsoft.
Clear the folder stored temporary files.
Note: Creating your Temp folder locally, rather than on a server, may increase Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS performance.
