Use compression for data transfer

Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS supports file compression to speed the transfer of files. Using Dynam-Zlib, files are compressed before being transmitted and uncompressed when received. File compression is an optional feature. Because it speeds the transfer of files, the default setting for the file compression feature is ON.

Use delta transfer for data transfer

Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS supports delta transfer to speed the transfer of files. In non-LAN connection, it can speed up the file transfer greatly.

Note: This feature is for Professional Edition only.

Use read-only flag for files that are not checked out

Set the read-only flag on files in your working folder.  Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS assumes that files in your working folder that you don't have checked out are read-only.  Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS sets the read-only flag when you perform a Get Latest Version, Add, Check In, or Undo Check Out command on a file, and uses it as a signal that you have not been modifying the file (so Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS can replace it).

Duration for file status caching

Specify how many minutes the file status will be cached on the local side.

Replace writable files

When you get or check out a file, Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS copies the file into your working folder.  If there is already a writable copy of the file in your working folder, replacing the file may erase your work.

Ask - Gives you an option each time.

Replace - Replaces (overwrites) the file.

Skip - Leaves the local file alone (not retrieving the latest version from the server).

Merge - Attempts an automatic merge.

End-of-line Terminator

The end-of-line terminator for files may be specified using this option. The options for end-of-line terminator are as follows:

• Mac(\r)
• Unix (\n)
• Windows (\r\n)

The end-of-line Terminator option can be changed if the operating system where the working folders reside differs from the operating system being used by the Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS Client.

Check in unchanged files

The option may be set to Ask, Check in or Undo check in. If Ask is selected, a dialog box is displayed offering the choice to Check in or Undo check out when you check in an unchanged file. If Check in or Undo check out is selected, Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS will perform the selected operation automatically.

Setting folder for temporary files

Type or select a path for temporary files.

Delete all temporary files

Click to delete all temporary files.
