The Show Differences operation in Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS can be performed at the file level and project level. Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS may be configured with a diff utility (available separately) that will enable the user to generate a list of differences between the local and remote copies of a file/project or of two specific revisions of the same file/project.

To see the differences between the local copy of a file/project and the latest version of the file/project in the SourceSafe database:

1. Select the specific file in the File List or the specific project in the Project Tree.

2. Click Show Differences or choose the Show Differences command from either the Tools menu or by right- clicking the selected file or the selected project.

To see the differences between the local copy of a file and any historical version of the file:

1. Select the file from the File List.

2. Click Show History or choose the Show History command from the Tools menu or by right-clicking the selected file.

3. Select the historical version of the file from within the History dialog box, and then click Diff.

To see the differences of two historical versions of a file from the History dialog box

1. Select two versions of the file.

2. Click Diff.
