Running Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS Client

After the setup is complete, start the Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS Client by using the entry created under the Start menu.

When the Client is run for the first time, a Connect to Server dialog will prompt for a server machine and the port number to connect. These values are specific to the Server installation. The server name should be either the host name or IP address of the machine hosting the Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS Server or Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS Cache Server. The port number is the port on which the Server was configured to listen for Client messages.

Importing Blowfish User Key

If the Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS Server has been configured to listen on a Blowfish secure port, the Client must be initialized with a Blowfish user key to connect to the secure port.

The Blowfish user key is generated by the Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS Server or Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS Cache Server to which the Client will connect.

To initialize the Client with the Blowfish user key, start the Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS Client. Under the Tools menu, select the Import Blowfish User Key command and specify the location and name of the file.

If the Server has been configured to listen on an SSL secure port or an unsecure port, the Client needs nothing to access this port.
