The Check Out command retrieves writable files from SAW for VSS and places them in your working folder, so that you can modify them. SAW for VSS lists the file as checked out in SAW for VSS Explorer.
Type a brief description of the reason for the check out. While the file is checked out, the Check Out Status tab displays the comment.
Show the working folder which SAW for VSS copies the file. By default, SAW for VSS copies the file with its own file name into your working folder. However, you can enter a different folder and file name, or click Browse to select a different location in your folder tree.
Check out the project and all its subprojects.
Note: Cloaked project will not be checked out.
Override the working folder set for the subprojects involved in a recursive operation, and builds a project tree that mirrors the project organization on your local computer. Working folder settings for individual subprojects are ignored. Available only when you select the Recursive check box.
Tell SAW for VSS not to copy the file to your working folder. SAW for VSS records that the file is checked out, but does not write a new copy to your working folder.
Determine how SAW for VSS behaves when you try to check out a file that is already marked as writable in your working folder. Select one of the following in the group box:
Ask: Asks you what to do when a writable version of a file is found.
Replace: Replaces the local file with the version on the server (and lose all local changes).
Skip: Leaves the local file alone (not retrieving the latest version from the server).
Merge: Attempts an automatic merge using SAW for VSS's ability to do a two-way file merge.
End-of-line terminator
The end-of-line terminator for files may be specified using this option. The
options for end-of-line terminator are as follows:
By default, the End-of-Line terminator option will be set in the File Options tab. The End-of-Line Terminator option can be changed if the operating system where the working folders reside differs from the operating system being used by the SAW for VSS Client.
Set Local Time
Change the time assigned to the check out operation. Select one of the
following in the list box: current time, last file modification time, last file
check-in time, or the default time (set on the
File Options tab).
