How to run SAW for VSS Java Client

JDK version 1.4.2.8 is needed for SAW for VSS Java environment.

Windows

1. Download JDK version 1.4.2.8 from http://www.sun.com and install it.
2. Set Java environment for running the java applications (including *.jar). Please refer to http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/runtime_win32.html.

You can use the MS-DOS command prompt to run the SAW for VSS java client. Go to the folder where the SAW for VSS java client is installed, then perform the command:  java -jar SAWforVSS.jar

Or go to the folder where the Dynamsoft SAW for VSS Java Client is installed, right-click the SAWforVSS.jar and choose Open With>Choose Program>Browse, select the javaw.exe in the bin folder under the JDK installation directory.

Linux

1. Download JDK version 1.4.2.8  from http://www.sun.com and install it
2. Set Java environment for running the java applications (including *.jar). Please refer to http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/jre/install-linux.html.

You can open the Console and go to the folder where the SAW for VSS java client is installed, then perform the
command:  java -jar SAWforVSS.jar
 

Sun Solaris

You can open the Console and go to the folder where the SAW for VSS java client is installed, then perform the
command:  java -jar SAWforVSS.jar

Mac OS X

You can open the Console and go to the folder where the SAW for VSS java client is installed, then perform the
command:  java -jar SAWforVSS.jar

Or double-click SAWforVSS.jar in the folder where the SAW for VSS java client is installed.
