System Log

The Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS Server logs connection, error information and actions that could prove useful in resolving any problems with the Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS software. Logging Server activity is therefore recommended for ease of problem diagnosis and security audit.

Actions to be logged can be customized in System Log dialog box.

Check to enable Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS to write log automatically.

View Log

Click to view the log file.

Overwrite log file on Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS server startup

When "write log file" is selected, a log file will be created in the Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere for VSS folder. By default, the log file will continuously log information. To shorten the log file, check this option to overwrite the file upon Server startup.

Actions to be logged

Check the to-be-logged actions to customize the log information. This part of log info is useful for security audit.

Note:

The log information is delimited by Tab, making it easier to be imported into database systems such as Excel and SQL Server.
