A shared file may be branched in SAW. After a shared file is branched, the share link is broken and the changes made to that file are not reflected in other projects.
1. Select the files from the File List.
2. Choose the Branch command from either the SourceSafe menu.
3. Add any comments to the Branch Comment Dialog Box and then click OK.
