What is SourceHero

SourceHero is a source control tool built on Microsoft SQL Server. It is designed to be the compelling replacement for Microsoft Visual SourceSafe. For information about the advantages of the SourceHero.

SourceHero consists of a Server and a Client. They can communicate over any standard TCP/IP connection, including a PPP connection over a modem, an ISDN line, or an Ethernet connection on the same LAN as the Server.

  Strong versioning support: you can visually view the whole project tree and any items in the tree from any version or a label.

  If an operation on the repository is interrupted in the middle, your data will not be left in an inconsistent state.

  A group of related operations can be treated as one single change set and the version of all the parent items increment only by 1.

  Powered with our Delta Storage technology, only the difference of each version is saved, so that the storage of repository is reduced significantly. Delta Storage works on both binary and text files.
