Query Overview

To track issues in Dynamsoft SCM Anywhere Web Client, you use queries. You can target your search by searching the database for records that match the criteria specified in the query. You can search for one specific field value, or create more complex queries that involve several query conditions. Query conditions can be customized and saved as favorites.

In Dynamsoft SCM Anywhere Web Client, you can search issues via Quick Search, Project Queries and Queries.

Quick Search allows you to search issues by inputting issue ID in the textbox on the top right of Issue Tracking page.

Project Queries allows you to search issues within a project.

Queries allows you to search issues within the whole system.

There are two sets of queries in both project queries and public queries: Public Queries and Private Queries. Public Queries are visible to all users while Private Queries are only used by the creator of the query. Public Queries can only be created and modified by users who have the permission to create and modify them. Dynamsoft Issue Tracking Anywhere provides four most common default public queries in both project queries and queries:

All Issues - List all issues in the system or in the project.

My Create - List issues which you have created.

Assigned To Me - List issues which you can perform actions on or which are assigned to you and not closed.

My Watch - List issues which you are paying attention to.

You can edit the above four default public queries according to your needs, but query conditions of My Watch can not be modified.

You must have certain permissions to see issues:

So different users will see different query results by the same query.
