What is Dynamic Web TWAIN?

Dynamic Web TWAIN is a TWAIN scanning SDK specifically optimized for web applications. You can control any TWAIN compatible device drivers - scanner, digital camera or capture card - in a web page to acquire images, edit and then upload to web servers using the TWAIN control.

With the carefully designed interface and the built-in wizard mode, the TWAIN SDK is lightweight, easy to use yet very powerful. You can typically do your TWAIN scanning job in several lines of code. High-level acquisition support is provided for ease of use, and low-level functionality is provided for flexibility and control in even the most demanding applications.

Dynamic Web TWAIN has 3 editions: ActiveX Edition, Plug-in Edition, Mac Edition.

ActiveX Edition

With Dynamic Web TWAIN ActiveX Edition, you can add scanning support to your web application for users of both 32-bit or 64-bit Internet Explorer.

As a standard COM/ActiveX control, the ActiveX Edition can also be used in desktop applications. You can distribute non-web applications that use Dynamic Web TWAIN as a runtime component royalty free.

Plug-in Edition

With Dynamic Web TWAIN Plug-in Edition, you can add scanning support to your web application for users of Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc. on Windows.

Mac Edition

With Dynamic Web TWAIN Mac Edition, you can add scanning support to your web application for users of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc. on Mac.
