What this demo shows

The page is the flutter_lite_camera example app compiled to the web. On a desktop or mobile build the same Dart code renders the preview through a native Flutter texture — Media Foundation on Windows, V4L2 on Linux, AVFoundation on macOS and iOS, Camera2 on Android. In the browser the plugin embeds the getUserMedia stream in a platform view instead.

Preview and decoding are separate paths. The video is composited from the native side; captureFrame() copies one RGB888 frame on demand, so scanning does not stall the stream.
Resolution is negotiated, not dictated. Pick a preset and the plugin activates the closest mode the device supports — watch the label update with the size it actually got.
One overlay, rotated in Dart. Barcode boxes are drawn from the frame coordinates, with the same rotation applied to the preview widget.

Browser support: the camera needs HTTPS (or localhost) and your permission. Nothing is uploaded — decoding runs locally through WebAssembly.
