Dynamic Webcam SDK Released!

Sep 18, 2012

I’m happy to announce the release of Dynamic Webcam SDK, the browser plugin which enables you to acquire images from webcam in a browser, edit the images and upload them to a file system or database.

The idea is from some customers who tried to use Dynamic Web TWAIN – the web- based document imaging library for acquiring images from TWAIN devices – with webcams. Most of scanners provide TWAIN driver while many webcams don’t. So we decided to develop a product for users to control USB video device class (UVC) and WIA compatible webcams easily in browsers.

Dynamic Webcam SDK works with all main-stream browsers on Windows. Two editions are available – ActiveX Edition for x86/x64 IE and Plugin Edition for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera.

You can try grabbing images from your webcam in your browser using the online demo.

Download the 30-day free trial and implement the SDK to your own web app.

Please email me if you have any questions or comments on Dynamic Webcam SDK.
