Dynamic Web TWAIN v17.1 Improves Process of Migrating Licensing from Trial to Full Version and Performance of Built-In Viewer Displaying of Thumbnails

Dynamsoft™ updated its document capture software development kit with a new licensing property that makes for a smoother transition from the trial version of the SDK to the full version. The built-in viewer has also been updated for better performance.
The new licensing property automatically fetches licensing of an organization from the license tracking server which removes the need for code updates. This simplifies moving from a trial of the SDK to the purchased version. Also, the built-in viewer’s performance is now noticeably faster at displaying image thumbnails.
Other improvements were also made. Installers for ARM x64 and MIPS x64 are now included in the download package by default. Dynamsoft also separated the library into two distinctive modes, a Desktop Service and WebAssembly (WASM), which makes things easier to understand and use. In Desktop Service mode, a browser does everything via the service, independent of browser types and the license is per machine. In WASM mode, everything is done within the browser and the license is made per browser.
These features are available in version 17.1. The major version 17.0 was first made available in April. It provided a new algorithm to improve security for images being used under the SDK’s hood. It also added support for 64-bit ARM and MIPS based devices, which enabled document scanning and editing from more supported device platforms.
