Dynamic Web TWAIN: TWAIN SDK Designed for All Browsers

Dynamsoft Corporation, an independent software vendor of TWAIN SDKs and software configuration management systems, today announced the release of Dynamic Web TWAIN 6.3. It enables users to control any TWAIN compliant devices (scanners, digital cameras, capture cards, etc.) via browser, and acquire images, edit and then save/upload to a web server.
Dynamic Web TWAIN plugin is developed directly with pure Win32 API and assembly language. "It covers most of the functionalities that are needed for day to day scanning, frees developers from going into complex details twain of API, and saves lots of development time," commented a customer, Net121.
The TWAIN scanning SDK provides many features specifically optimized for web applications, such as FTP or HTTP(S) uploading/downloading, cookie & session integration, downloading from HTTP stream, etc. Most importantly, Dynamic Web TWAIN works with all mainstream browsers, with its ActiveX Edition designed for Microsoft Internet Explorer and Plug-in Edition for Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera.

The new release further enhances its compatibility with browsers. A 64-bit ActiveX control joins the ActiveX Edition family following the trend of rapidly increasing usage of 64-bit Internet Explorer and TWAIN device drivers. Plugin Edition is also polished -- it now supports the latest release of Firefox, Firefox 4.
Meanwhile, some tweaks are performed for seamless compatibility with Canon scanners. And a few small yet convenient functions are newly introduced, such as OnPostLoad().
Dynamic Web TWAIN can be used with most programming languages, such as ASP.NET(C#), VB.NET, ASP, JSP and PHP.
