Dynamsoft SDK Introduces Remote Scan Solution for End Users to Access Intranet Scanners Through Any Browser on Any Device

Dynamic Web TWAIN v18.0 Also Adds Support to Scan Documents From eSCL-compatible Scanners or Multi-function Printers Directly to Android Devices.

VANCOUVER – January 11th, 2023

Dynamsoft™ introduced a premium Plus edition for its document capture software development kit - Dynamic Web TWAIN - which allows end users to access scanners of various protocols such as TWAIN, SANE, ICA, or eSCL on the Intranet through any devices or any modern browsers. This Plus edition significantly improves efficiency and user experience by allowing end-users to simply visit the web application and start scanning in a second without the need to install any plugins.

A new Dynamsoft proxy service is available as a central service allowing any browser from any device to access TWAIN, SANE, ICA, or eSCL scanners via USB, wifi, wifi-direct, shared network, or bonjour. The remote scan solution is particularly useful for low-frequency scanning and scanning from different devices where images can be acquired from multiple scanners, then viewed, edited, or saved within the same application.

Many scanners now support a protocol called eSCL. Through this protocol, we can find and interact with scanners connected to the same network. Another important highlight starting with Dynamic Web TWAIN SDK v18.0 is enabling document scanning from eSCL-compatible scanners or Wi-Fi Direct scanners directly to an Android mobile device.

Getting started with a deployment can be done in a handful of steps. Developers can download and install Dynamic Web TWAIN Plus Edition version 18.0 from the Dynamsoft website, including a trial version. A 30-day trial license can be activated by copying the license key code into the provided JS file and then copying the related code and file to the static resource folder of a web project.
