With a Java client in addition to the standard Windows client, SCM Anywhere Standalone 2.0 can run on any platform that SWT (Standard Widget Toolkit) supports, such as Linux, MAC and Solaris, etc.

Macromedia Studio Plug-in Added

SCM Anywhere Standalone Macromedia Studio plug-in enables Dreamweaver or Flash users to access their SCM Anywhere Standalone repositories remotely and perform basic source control operations. More Info.

Command Line Client Added

In addition to the GUI Client, SCM Anywhere Standalone provides a Windows and Java Command Line Client for users who prefer typing commands and those who write or maintain batch files for automatic source control processing. SCM Anywhere Standalone Command Line supports all the major operations required for source control. More Info.

SDK Added

SCM Anywhere Standalone provides a C# and Java Software Development Kit (SDK) which enables software developers to integrate SCM Anywhere Standalone functionality with their applications. Through SCM Anywhere Standalone Software Development Kit's APIs, you can develop applications that provide the similar functionality as the client software of SCM Anywhere Standalone. More Info.

VSS Import Tool Added

SCM Anywhere Standalone provides a VSS Import Tool which allows Visual SourceSafe users to import data in SourceSafe databases to SCM Anywhere Standalone repositories. With the VSS Import Tool, you can specify to import all VSS data, data after a certain date or the latest file history items. More Info.

Ant Plug-in Added

SCM Anywhere Standalone Ant Plug-in enables you to integrate SCM Anywhere Standalone with Ant for automatic build. More Info.

CruiseControl.NET Plug-in Added

SCM Anywhere Standalone CruiseControl.NET Plug-in enables you to integrate SCM Anywhere Standalone with CruiseControl.NET for continuous integration. More Info.

Improved Installation

  • SCM Anywhere Standalone VsPackage Register is provided to register SCM Anywhere Standalone VsPackage into Visual Studio 2005/2008.
  • You do not need to install Visual Studio 2008 Shell for SCM Anywhere Standalone Windows Client installation.
  • SCM Anywhere Standalone Server can now be installed on a machine with Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 or above.
