Breaking Changes

  1. Do not depend on DCV directly, rather depend on it through MDS and DDV.
  2. Do not expose raw DCV APIs, rather only expose MDS and DDV.
  3. MDS JS changed its scanner UI template file from html to xml for security purposes, which affects consumers self hosting this UI template file (no impact if using the CDN-hosted file).

  1. Update MDS JS to v1.4.2 and DDV to v3.2 to improve security.

The most notable improvement in this version is the pluggable scanner feature. This allows MWC to integrate any custom scanner.

  1. Add Pluggable Scanner feature which integrates any scanner satisfying the following:
    1. Implements the MWCScanner interface
    2. Implements a launch() method to return a result that includes:
      1. _imageData with a toBlob() function
      2. imageData: true
      3. status.code equal to EnumresultStatus.RS_SUCCESS
  2. Update MDS to version 1.2
  3. Change MWC Header color to make the component visually distinct
  4. Move the “Select All” and “Cancel” buttons to the header in the Document View

  1. The select mode now toggles off after deleting a page on Document View

MWC version 3.0.0 is a complete rewrite and is not based on previous versions.

In this release, Mobile Web Capture (MWC) has been completely redesigned from the ground up. It is now a ready-to-use, fully developed, browser-based document management system for mobile devices.

  • Quickly re-scan and inspect documents until the desired result is achieved
